Meeting people      

It is important for you to practice giving readings to as many people as you can to start developing. You can practice on family and friends at first. This will help break the ice and give you some initial practice. However, friends and family you already know a lot about and you won't know when you are getting psychic information or recalling from memory. What you really need to do is find other people. 

Meeting new people is important for you to get further practice. You'll find that meeting new people won't be as difficult as you think if you know where to look. 
1. Find a metaphysical bookstore or center near you and inquire if they have a 'development circle'  that you can attend. If they don't, then you can look on their bulletin board to see if there any flyers announcing one. Next, take any business cards that psychics and mediums have left there to advertise their services. Many of them conduct classes at their homes for development.

2. If you find flyers at these locations, advertising meetings of any type that are associated with new age interest, go there. Even if you don't care for the content, you can still meet new people. Be sure to tell them that you are a 'student psychic' and are looking for practice. You'll be surprised at how much an ice breaker that statement is. Both men and women are always interested in volunteering themselves in order to get a reading. Be sure to mention 'for free' and you'll get a positive response. Not only will you get practice, but you'll make instant friendships.

3. Another place to  hunt is to attend a spiritualist meeting or service where you'll find  people who are already convinced of the importance in what you are doing.

4. Of course, if you can't find a permanent 'development circle' to attend, you can always start your own.
